49th Independence Day

49 years has passed since our country was released from the British Colony.
How rapid our country has grown ever since, in tecnology wise, economy and other aspects.

And I think sometimes we had never really appreciate and love our country enough.
We took for granted the prosperity and peace we experience, myself included.

***
Spent the early morning of the day at JIKI's with Jason and Billy.
Talked almost about everything from music to jobs.

***
Speaking of jobs, I would be starting my job this Friday. The 1st of September.

'Right after Independence Day...so much for independece for me :('

And I guess most of you all should have known it already by now, thanks to newsman Billy. :)

For those not updated...
I am employed as a planning engineer in a company called Contraves.

*****
And for those who are blur and didn't know that such job actually exist (like me before), here's a brief description ->

A planning engineer develops the most appropriate method and sequence of construction operations for a particular project, in conjunction with the site manager. They plan and oversee the entire programme of work and must anticipate a contract's demands in terms of labour, materials, equipment and technical challenges. As well as ensuring that construction is completed safely to a high technical standard, the planning engineer is also responsible for specifying the timing of the contract. This can be a major responsibility when penalty clauses for late completion are written into project contracts.

Typical work activities include:

1)selecting the appropriate techniques and sequence of events for a particular project
2)presenting schedules of work, often with visual aids such as bar charts and procedures diagrams
3)using specialist planning computer software, such as Suretrack;
monitoring progress throughout the construction process and comparing this with the projected schedule of work
4)liaising with the site agent and surveyor throughout the process, making adjustments to projects as necessary
5)providing advice and support on the development of specific systems.

My feelings?
The truth is I do not how to react when I received the official offer for the job.

Excited,yeah a little.
Scared,more of that than excitedment.

Did not really look forward for it at first...
That's one reason as to why I did not blog about this earlier.

Suddenly I see a whole new experience plus responsibilities ahead.
All this while, I have been praying for a job.
And He answers me and provide me one in His due time.
Now,all I have to do is to ask and trust Him for wisdom to deliver the job well.

And even as I write these words,it's a struggle for me not too worry for my job.

A struggle not too indulge in negative pattern of thoughts like 'what if I can't do it?' , 'what if I screwed up..', ' what if I take longer time to learn?' and the such like.

*****
Funny,it's so much easier to think and believe negative thoughts while on the other hand,it takes constant effort to trust and truly embrace the promises of God in my heart.

-And yet I know and I dearly hold on to His promise to counter the negative thoughts that seems to popped out in my mind every now and then-

-Feeling and emotions can cloud our vision, judgment and perspective. I am wary of that-

Most importantly, I pray that the job I have will be a fulfilling one.
I want to truly believe it will be.
